The dressed side table draws the eye to this welcoming cameo, with the arch beyond framing the staircase beautifully. Flexible lighting combines the cosy feel of the tungsten filament with dimmable directional halogen downlighters targeted on the framed prints. The staircase runners and acorn stair-rods designed by Nick, suit the style of this Edwardian property, and his contemporary colour scheme brings the hallway stylishly into modern times.

Style Within selected and specified these silk drapes with blood-red beads to dress a set of French windows in this traditional setting. We had them made by a local curtain sewer.

This fabric wall graphic was researched, designed and produced by Style Within along with the co-ordinating cushions for two teenagers, reflecting their interests and personalities - The Circus, Bath.
To highlight an unused alcove, this illuminated side table was designed and made by Style Within to fit the shape. It features an LED light source to shine up through the client’s vase (soon to be filled with translucent coloured balls)

By the time the children are toddling, primary colours can be introduced. They are stimulating and exciting. Here, Nick has combined strong colour with elements of black and white for contrast and interest. He also designed and made the train bed (here shown open to access the extra storage under the bed). Not only are the colours important, so are the shapes and textures of which there are many here. The room is highly functional with high level storage, as well as shelving designed for the children. And the chalkboard is great fun...

The client has the opportunity to watch golf from across the Atlantic in the comfort of her own bed with this TV built into an Ottoman designed and made by Style Within. Controlled remotely, the TV is raised and lowered on an electro-mechanical platform.
Style Within has access to the highest quality contemporary designer fabrics from its network of suppliers in London. Local suppliers make the curtains, blinds and other soft furnishings, as well as the upholstery.
An iconic Bestlite lamp here with new, bespoke storage designed by Style Within for the corner of this room: a folding sliding solution was ideal for this purpose with mouldings to blend seamlessly with those on the walls of this Georgian property.
This Victorian property renovation transformed its tired, insipid decor with a stunning, contemporary, striped stair-carpet and wide board oak floor. Stripping the handrail, fitting a dado rail, redecorating and installing brass fittings completed the look.
Nick designed the stained glass to replace the previous plain, ribbed glass, creating a contemporary spin on the original glazing in the transom. Note also the designer carpet.
Unless the client wishes to make a feature of IT, Hi-Fi or television, Style Within will incorporate features to minimise their impact on a room. Here, the speaker grilles are colour-matched to the walls and any design is possible; even photographs or other graphics to make the speakers look like pictures. The house was wired with CAT 5 cabling for music to be “piped” around the house from a hard drive and the internet. The client no longer needs a large collection of CDs on show. The network also facilitated installation of satellite TV. Note also how the vertical radiators free up wall space for the TV and speakers.
Designed and manufactured, bespoke furniture is another of Style Within’s offerings: here a detailed specification was turned into a wardrobe with the required number of shelves and adequate hanging space. There is even a special shelf for shoes purposely separated from the clothing as shoes and clothes do not mix.
This child’s colourful, bespoke shelf unit with selected cupboards was designed by Nick, again to a specification based on sizes of specific books and toys. The cupboard doors are colour-matched to other features of the room including a blue end-wall and a vivid pink roller blind.
