An attic or loft conversion is a cost-effective first option to expand living space in a property. Attention to detail is still important if the project is to provide a practical space fit for a bedroom, home office or playroom. The location of sockets, lights and storage should be planned from the start. Indeed the eaves should be used as far as possible for valuable storage (put lights in here too).
The staircase should be more than just functional: it should blend with the existing property. Here, particular attention was paid to extensive natural light including the novel gallery style staircase, that enabled light from the skylight in the roof to fall on the stairwell and otherwise dark hallway below.
