Whilst not created specifically for a hotel, we chose to create a hotel style bedroom design for one of our favourite residential clients.
Hotel style Bedroom Design choices
We actually created 6 alternative decorative schemes for our client, each with its own sample board. The options ranged from warmer pinks though golds to cooler aquas. Along with lighting and furniture, and a 3D visual of the bedroom, our client could visualise herself enjoying the space. Having shortlisted two schemes, we visited Chelsea Harbour to finalise the fabrics.
Our client eventually settled on the aqua design. We decided on a neutral backdrop, allowing these dramatic colours to punch through. Not forgetting the carpet, we chose a medium pile taupe shade; luxurious underfoot. Our choice of luscious fabrics was led by this exquisite crocodile chenille:
Working with our trusted suppliers, we designed the centrepiece for the bedroom. This deep-buttoned headboard is upholstered in a wonderful aqua velvet matching the curtains and throw.
Acquiring the round, concave mirrors on-line, we painted them marine blue to suit the scheme. Finding bombé bedside units in sunset yellow to match the flowers in the roman blind, we were delighted that all these finishes came together.
For that extra bit of glamour, we like to combine curtains with roman blinds. Here we chose a floral fabric for the blind, framed by lush velvet curtains.
Fuchsia pink scatter cushions provide a stylish accent to the scheme, complementing the blues and golds perfectly.
Our favourite feature remains the bedroom chaise. An ideal way to define the end of the bed, it has become the room’s pièce de resistance. It is also practical as a place to sit and rest clothing. It is, of course, a beautiful piece of furniture in its own right.
We were delighted with this hotel style bedroom design for our favourite residential client. We hope this inspires our commercial clients to consider similar glamour in designing exquisite hotel interiors for their visitors.
