Here is a quick update on the hotel chic bedroom design that we created for our client in Somerset. It now features beautiful fabrics, bespoke furniture, and a sumptuous carpet.
Bedroom fabrics
This design features beautiful bedroom fabrics from a range of suppliers. We created sample boards using fabrics from a number of our favourite suppliers in Chelsea Harbour. Against a neutral background, our client chose the aqua and gold decorative scheme.
In contrast to many “flat” velvets, the headboard, curtains and runner are a shimmering aqua blue. We unholstered the chaise in a crocodile chenille fabric.
Our uholsterers made the scatter cushions from the blind fabric and piped in curtain fabric. The smaller pink cushions then add a stronger accent for the overall scheme.
Bedroom furniture
Our client asked us to retain some of her existing dark furniture until decisions were made on future purchases. In fact, she preferred the sense of space so she simply sold the dark furniture.
Delighted with the bespoke deep-buttoned headboard, and bed end chaise, we bought a pair of concave mirrors for £80 and painted them to match, hung behind the touch lamps.
We were particularly pleased with the sunset yellow bombe bedside cabinets which picked out perfectly the yellow accents in the roman blind and cushions. The carpet has a 12.5mm pile from Cormar’s Sensation range and feels wonderful underfoot.
We have now renovated most of our client’s holiday apartment, and hope that she enjoys her time there as she looks to take longer breaks by the sea.
