It is very easy to create a beautiful centrepiece using a few cuttings and a selection of tasteful Easter decorations. Why not have a go?
You can make your own Easter tree using twigs from the garden; there’s no need to buy one. We used a few cuttings from a japonica, flowering cherry and other trees, bushes and shrubs. You can find similar on a walk along the river or through the park.
Most hanging Easter decorations come in the form of eggs, butterflies and fluffy chicks. Some of our eggs are painted, with others wrapped in fabric. We also found this Easter balloon carrying a half-eggshell as its basket. Your children will make their own Easter objects too, which you can hang from your tree.
We’ve shown that you don’t need to buy too much to create an attractive centrepiece. We are surrounded by beautiful growth in Spring which will last the duration of the Easter holiday – try to avoid buying trees and too many other objects. Involve the family in designing and making your own Easter decorations. We’ve done similar in Winter where you can see how to make your own Christmas tree.Back to blog
