Cost of Domestic Plumbing and Heating Jobs

If you are looking into the cost of domestic plumbing and heating, here are some indicative prices from our home renovations.

Prices are based on projects where major works are ongoing, so if you only require a single job, the price may be higher. The plumber or heating engineer will need to cover his or her time for travel, moving and replacing carpets and furniture, and so on. You will also need to include in your total price any making good and redecoration following works.

Cost to fit a radiator

To fit a new radiator in new location (suspended floor): £280
To fit a new radiator in a new location (concrete floor): £380
To remove and replace a radiator in an existing location (no pipe adjustments): £225

Prices exclude the cost of the radiators.  Trade products are priced from £50 upwards;  don’t forget the valves.

Supply and fit meter-controlled water softener (inc electrics): £1600 + VAT

Dig trench from house to boundary (4-5m at 300 wide by 750 deep) and install MDPE (blue plastic) pipe to replace lead: £1250 + VAT

Supply and fit a megaflo-type pressurised water cylinder: £4200 + VAT
