Modern Kitchen Design
Our floor plan with electrical overlay and 3D model helped our clients to visualise the space. They traded features to meet the budget, so a skylight was sacrificed for a quartz worktop!
Kitchen units and appliances
A modern kitchen design makes good use of deep pan drawers and mechanical units to access those difficult-to-reach corners. When space is too shallow for a full-depth base unit, one tip is to fit a wall unit in its place as see by the back door. To create even more space, we removed the boiler and installed a new model in the cellar with remote control.
Glass splashback and quartz worktop
We agreed on an ice-blue glass splashback with a white based worktop. With orange as an accent colour, and effective lighting, the space looked dramatic. White quartz with silver crystals was an expensive but fabulous choice for the worktop. For the floor, the clients chose wood effect vinyl planks, adding warmth and complementing the white walls.
The gas hob and glass cooker hood vented through a lead slate on the roof. The built-in microwave kept the work surface clear, noting its reduced depth relative to a standard microwave, as it sits in a wall unit.
Squeezing more storage from the space, we created this bespoke wine rack from extra cabinet side panel material. We also persuaded the clients to include a radiator. This tall, slim model provided a stylish solution with great heat output.
